#Top7 List For January 2015

January is one of our slower months–sales wise–but a lot of inventory arrives!  So we’ll start with a more pertinent #Top7 list:

Top7 New Products of 2015 (that have already arrived to the shop)

  1. Salomon Sense Mantra 3 – These shoes are wide in the toe box!! Not Altra wide, but wider than any other Salomon.  Softer and more cushion than the Mantra 1 or 2.  It’s time to #ReThinkSalomon
  2. Topo RunVenture – These shoes are wide like Altra in the toe-box, but with a much better fit elsewhere–and hopefully more durable uppers. (Time will tell about the durability.)  They may not be enough cushion for everyone, but they are a must try!
  3. Salomon’s New Hydration Packs!! So light, so minimal!! The new S-Lab Sense Pack (the most minimal and ventilated) and the S-Lab Sense Ultra (not as much ventilation, but has an extra pocket in the back) are so sexy!!
  4. Ultimate Direction Wink/Wasp Hydration Packs – These packs have been totally redone: more front stash pockets and a standard HydroPack 2L bladder instead of the bizarre roll-to-close bladders UD used previously.  Wink = Women’s specific.  Wasp = Dude’s.
  5. Inov-8 Race Ultra 270 – Wow, these are wide!   That was my first impression.  Lighter and softer than the Race Ultra 290, the 270s are a dream for minimal trail users wanting a roomy fit!!
  6. Pearl Izumi Trail N2 New Colors – same shoe, but these new colors are HOT!!
  7. Ultraspire Astral Pack – Intended to be women’s specific, the regular size actually fits guys really well!  Front stash pockets and a bladder included in the back.  This is a great minimal running vest option.  Smaller versions of the Astral Pack will arrive by the end of February.  These will fit smaller women’s frames much better!
