October Top7Trail Shoes

Here are the spookiest trail running shoes at the shop this month!! (Spooky good at getting folks to buy them that is ?)

Women’s Top7Trail

  1. Altra Lone Peak 4.0
  2. Hoka Speedgoat 2
  3. New Balance Summit QOM – Queen of the Mountain
  4. Brooks Caldera 2
  5. Brooks Cascadia 13
  6. Hoka Torrent – Suprising that this shoe slipped so much in terms of sales!
  7. La Sportiva Akasha

In case you were wondering, the re-released Hoka Clifton 1 Road Shoe would have been 2nd on the list if we counted road shoes!! And it was only at the shop 12 days so far this month!

Men’s Top7Trail

  1. Altra Lone Peak 4.0
  2. New Balance Summit Unknown – Wow, this is a surprise! Folks are liking its speedy yet softer, snug feel.
  3. Hoka Speedgoat 2
  4. Hoka Torrent
  5. Topo Terraventure
  6. Brooks Caldera 2
  7. Salomon Ultra Pro

Men’s Hoka Clifton 1 sales were high, too, almost equaling that of the Lone Peak 4.

Boy, it’s been awhile since only one Altra model made it onto a women’s and men’s Top7 list. I can’t recall a month EVER that only one Altra made it onto both the women’s and men’s lists!

To be fair to Altra, folks are waiting for the Timp 1.5 which should arrive mid-November at the shop!

Other #NewTrailShoes arriving in November:

  • Topo UltraVenture – This is the shoe that Phil predicts being a consistent top 3 seller at the shop!!
  • Topo Terraventure 2 – a bit delayed. May be closer to December.

  • Thankful 7

It’s that time of year to give Thanks! I would love to give a big Thank You to everyone who has come into the shop post Western States to check up on me, especially the ones I was personally lucky enough to talk to myself. Talking through all that happened that day—and after—has really helped…

Two weeks from right about now, Walmsley and Hazen will probably be finished resting near the track in Auburn CA after completing the Western States Endurance Run 100 Miler. Hopefully I’ll still be plodding along, inching closer to that same track. I’m super excited that the time has finally come. I’ll be back at States…
