Altra Running continues to dominate the trail this month. July saw the release of the long anticipated Trail Timp and the latest edition Lone Peak, the 3.5, hit the shelves too. Both immensely popular, they’ve been battling it out between themselves for top sales and it’s neck and neck. While the Timp beat out the Lone Peak 3.5 for top spot in the men’s charts, for women, it was other way around. Even Stevens. It’ll be interesting to see if either of those models shake loose and secure complete victory next month.

IMG_6713 Everybody’s TIMPing! There were a lot of shoes on the trail at the Kendall Katwalk this weekend. It seemed like every trail runner we ran across was wearing them.

Meanwhile, Hoka also released some updates that have made a splash and leapt straight into significant positions on our #Top7Trail charts. The Stinson ATR 4 and Speedgoat 2 saw some great improvements that have runners reconsidering. Notably both styles have been rebuilt on wider lasts. Folks who’ve found Hokas to be too narrow in the past are being pleasantly surprised by the new wider toeboxes.

It’s clear to see, zero drop shoes have a strong following but across the board trail runners are opting for comfort fit with wriggle room for toes and plenty of cushion.

The big shock was to see the Topo Terraventure completely ousted from the women’s chart. From top spot to missing in action?! Will it rebound and make a come back next month?
