February was a very challenging month for Seattle and Seven Hills. Snowmageddon came down hard from the sky, blanketed us in snow, ice and slush, and the shop had to endure some quite sporadic opening hours. A big “Thank you!” to all the customers who braved the adverse conditions and icy roads to make it to the shop during the times we were open!
Despite the interesting time February threw at us, plenty of trail runners did manage to leave the shelves, recruited for muddy adventures, and the Seven Hills Running Shop #Top7Trail charts still live:
Men’s:
1- Altra Lone Peak 4
2- Hoka Speedgoat 3
3- Altra Superior 4
4- Topo Athletic Ultraventure
5- Topo Athletic Terraventure
6- Altra Timp 1.5
7- Hoka Challenger/Hoka Torrent (TIE)
Women’s:
1- Altra Lone Peak 4
2- Altra Superior 4
3- Hoka Speedgoat 3
4- Altra Timp 1.5
5- Hoka Torrent
6- Topo Athletic Ultraventure
7- Inov8 XTalon Ultra 260
The Altra Lone Peak dominated again! It smoothly hopped from last month’s silver ranking to snag the top spot in both our men’s and women’s #Top7Trail charts.
The Lone Peak’s sister shoe, the Superior 4, also put in some strong sales in February. While it was eerily missing from the women’s #Top7Trail last month, and merely just about sneaking into the charts for the men, in February it ran itself right up the mountain with gusto and snagged itself a podium spot in both charts.
It’s clear that the Hoka Speedgoat 3 is still enjoying tremendous popularity and successfully fending off the competition. The super cushioned trail beast secured silver and bronze for men and women respectively.
Overall, it’s still pretty much a three-way brand brawl in our #Top7Trail listings this month. Altra is possibly winning the fight with a slight choke hold over Hoka, but Topo is still wrestling and eager for victory too.
