Sad news from Pearl Izumi this month when they made the shock announcement that they are closing their running division and will only be concentrating on making shoes and apparel for cyclists. This has left a lot of our devoted Pearl Izumi customers upset and scrabbling to grab their favorite shoes from remaining stock, or searching for their next new perfect footwear.
If you are in the first camp, we have the deal for you! As all Pearl Izumi running shoe models are being discontinued we are holding our last #Pearlapalooza special until October 1st… buy any pair of (in stock) Pearl Izumi shoes at full price and get 50% off any other pair of Pearl Izumis! Grab them while you can!
This also means that thanks to #RIPearlIzumi, our #Top7Trail lists are soon going to see a bit of a shake up, and indeed by the looks of it, the shift has already started:
It’s apparent that Altra still reigns supreme for both men and women trail runners in the Seattle area, and it’s going to be exciting to see which other models will enter the best sellers list following Pearl Izumi’s exit. We’re already seeing the new Hoka Speed Instinct coming in with a good charge this month, and we predict that next month’s arrival of Brooks’ new Mazama will stir things up too.
