#Top7 Trail Shoes – OCTOBER 2016

Here it is! No real surprises with this month’s list of best selling trail shoes from Seven Hills Running Shop.

The roomy and cushy Altra Lone Peak 3.0 is still wowing runners with its updated grippy sole and continues to reign supreme for both men and women. Its waterproof counterpart, the Altra Lone Peak 3.0 Neoshell, is also proving popular with the women and it’s interesting to see both versions of the same shoe make the ladies’ podium.

The light and racy Hoka Speed Instinct is attracting a following and proving its worth on the trail, gaining more traction with the guys with a solid third place on the men’s #top7 list. Hoka snagged the silver place spot for the women with the tried and trusty Challenger though.

They’ve been regulars in our #top7 lists so far this year, and love for the low-profile and responsive, Saucony Peregrine and Merrell’s reliable All Out Peak is not diminishing with both shoes having strong showings in our October #top7 rundown.

We’re now waiting impatiently for the Inov8 roc-lite 305 and 290, Topo Terraventure and Brooks Caldera to hit our shelves this month. Will they shake things up? Phil’s Top Tip – “The Caldera is the shoe I’m picking to give Altra’s trail shoes some serious #Top7trail competition!”
