Well, what the heck: we’ll call the new for 2016 Altra Lone Peak Mid Top a trail running shoe! It makes both the men’s and women’s Top7 lists for September.
September was a month of flux as we saw a few models go away to make room for new models to come. Already to land at the shop is the Brooks Mazama and Salomon SpeedTrak. To come in November: Inov-8 Roc-lite 305 and 290; Topo Terraventure; and possibly the Brooks Caldera will make it in early.
Two men’s New Balance trail runners made it onto the Top7 for the first time ever. As Pearl Izumi and Montrail fade into our rear-view, this NB thing could become a trend–especially as the Hierro 2 with Vibram Mega Grip launches in January.
On the women’s side, it was a surprise to see the Saucony Peregrine 6 fall from the charts…but we do have plenty still available! It’s been hard to find, but we have just about every ladies size in stock now.
